Illustration about the War of the Triple Alliance (called "Guerra do Paraguai" or "Paraguay War" here in Brazil), the largest and more important war Brazil has engaged in all of its history (in my opinion, since I believe Brazilian participation in WWI and II doesn't really count), in the second half of the 19th century.

So there you have it, Brazilian Empire's soldier in blue, Praguayans in red.

muy buen dibujo. Pero creo que los soldados brasileños son azules si, pero con pantalones rojos, y solian husar una especie de sombreros rojos en sus cabbezas.

Gracias por su comentario y elogio. Acerca de los uniformes, he usado los dibujos de esta página [link] como referencia para los diseños. El soldado llevando la bandera, por exemplo, es un capitán; los otros, infantaria.
